Hi Everyone!
It’s great to be back and whilst the Mid Term break was very welcome, Spring is now approaching with new opportunities, brighter evenings and a quick step in our feet. I hope you all had a great rest and feel relaxed and re-energised. Mr Litter has staff all counting their steps this week as part of a Step challenge focusing on healthy living. Don’t worry! There’ll be a challenge for the pupils next week,
Year 10 Band 2 pupils and Parents/Carers had their Subject Options and Parent Teacher Meetings on Wednesday. There was such a healthy buzz in the Assembly Hall and Gym. Choose your options carefully and don’t base them on what your friend is doing.
Next Wednesday is the turn of Year 12 Options for A Level Choices. Again, this will be held after school, and all are welcome if considering A levels in the College. Great to join a new Sixth Form in a new school with many new opportunities.
Congratulations to Leah, Tia, Chormaic, Peter and Daire in achieving 2nd place overall in the Queens’ University Schools Business Challenge. With 30 Teams competing, the pressure was on, but they gave it their all with confidence and professionalism. We are so proud of them. Well done again and to Mr Stevenson who supported them all the way.

Year 12 carried out DA Science Practical Examinations and then next week, we have GCSE Science Papers to complete. Exams are constant but the College is in a good position with very dedicated staff who simply want our pupils to achieve as best they can.
And I hope you saw on our social media, Mr Mauricio (past pupil) who recently graduated with a Masters’ Degree in Television Production. A terrific achievement from a hard-working young man. Well done Edson.
Don’t forget! It’s Assessment Week beginning Monday 3rd March – a little extra revision never did anyone any harm.
Have a great weekend.
Isabel Russell
