Week 13

Friday 6th December 2019

Hello Everyone!

A very productive week as all Year Groups were engaged in internal School Exams along with GCSE and GCE Mock Exams. Each pupil is so deserving of our praise – their application, attitude and positive approach towards the Exams and study was exemplary. Boys and Girls, you are a real credit to your families and our school. Thank you for belonging to our school community. All Exams will be finished by Tuesday 10th December.

Whilst all of the above was happening, I was privileged to visit many of our partner Primary schools during the week, talk to the Principals, and hear about the great work occurring in all of our schools. Many of the pupils were preparing Christmas/ Nativity Plays and the Christmas Spirit was very evident. Indeed, these visits are in preparation for our P7 Taster Days and Open Night on Thursday 23rd January 2020. We look forward to meeting many of the P7 pupils during the month of January.

Commiserations to our MacRory Team who lost out to St Patrick’s Cavan in their final Group match. The Team now go into the Play-offs in January against St Ronan’s Lurgan. We wish them all the best in this match.

Good luck as well to Blaine Ryan, Shea Lawn and Callan Devlin who played extremely well in the QUB Future Stars Football Trials on Tuesday and have deserved a place in the Final Trials next week. Good Luck Boys!

And a big date for your diary – Tuesday 17th December when Holy Trinity College will host their Christmas Market and Winter Wonderland. It’s sure to be a great evening with food stalls, gifts, crafts, entertainment etc. Come along for those last minute presents and a special visitor – Santa Claus– be there boys and girls and join in all the fun.

Have a great weekend
