The Scholastic Book Fair is held annually in the LRC for everyone to enjoy and to develop a life-long love of reading.  Over 200 top children’s titles are available to suit all tastes and abilities. The school benefits from the Scholastic Book Fair too, as every book sold can help to get free books for the school library.

Scholastic Book Fair 2019

The Annual Scholastic Book Fair was held in the LRC, from Thursday 14th until Wednesday 0yh November. All junior classes were given the opportunity to visit the Book Fair, either during their timetabled library class or during an English period with their teacher.  Many pupils returned repeatedly at break and lunchtimes and senior pupils also visited the Book Fair at these times.  Pupils were very enthusiastic and bought £757.69 worth of items, with over 100 books being bought!  This excellent figure meant that the school was able to receive 50% of that total in free books from Scholastic – £370.  This continues to be a great way to top up library stock with current best sellers and favourite classics!
