Friday 4th October 2024
Hello Everyone
Welcome to October already! Optimistic October - take action to help you focus on what really matters – achieve those goals!
Quite a range of activities scheduled this week but the academic work also keeps going.
Year 8 were looking swell as they prepared to have their individual photographs taken for our school system – loads of smiles on Monday! We will let you know when these are available to purchase online.
Our school community joined together last night to celebrate Mass with Year 8 in Holy Trinity Church. The Mass itself was lovely, very reverent, and Year 8 were outstanding in their contributions to the liturgy and participating throughout the Mass. Our thanks to Fr Slater for celebrating the Mass and his encouraging words. Well done to everyone involved especially Miss Rafferty Head of Year 8, Year 8 Form Teachers, and the RE & Music Departments.
Ladies Football featured highly this week with the U-19 Girls in a magnificent display of football against St. Ciaran’s Ballygawley. Similarly, the U-16 Ladies had a convincing win over Thornhill, Derry in the Ulster League. Well done Ladies and to your Coaches as well.
With GCSE Exams in a few weeks, students in Years 11 & 12 should avail of After-School Revision classes in Maths and English. Our staff want the best for you. Remember the Pupil Focus: “Work hard and amazing things will happen. Nothing will work unless you do.”
Have a lovely weekend
Isabel Russell
