Early Bird

The LRC is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8.10am until 8.40am and offers a warm and welcoming place for pupils to start the school day.  It has been encouraging to see a number of staff avail of the facilities at this time also!

As well as using the books, magazines and laptops, pupils can keep abreast of current affairs by reading the daily newspapers or watching BBC News on the flat screen television.

The LRC also offers a quiet place where pupils can complete school work, such as projects or coursework.

Book Club

The Book Club meets every Thursday in the LRC at lunchtime, from 12.45-1.15pm, and is led by the School Librarian, Miss McAdoo.  Membership is for Year 8 only and is limited to a maximum of 8 pupils and YES - you do need to like reading!!!!  Biscuits and drinks are on offer and the meetings are very informal.

Book Club 2017-18

This year the NI Book Award will resume again after a break of 2 years.  Book Club members will read the 6 shortlisted books and join in the voting for their favourite.  There will be activities and quizzes based on each of these books. The NI Book Award Committee also organise author visits and interschool events, which Holy Trinity College Book Club have always participated fully in over the years.
